- A 60–90 minute on-ice session focusing on fundamental skating and hockey skills
- Certified coaches and friendly volunteers to guide and support new players
- Loaner gear to ensure safety and comfort for all participants
Our goal is always to welcome new players and provide a positive first step into hockey, with pathways to continue playing beyond the event.
Dress in warm, comfortable layers. We’ll help suit up participants with the necessary gear before they hit the ice.
We maintain a 1:5 ratio or better, ensuring that each participant receives plenty of attention and support on the ice.
We’ll provide information on next steps, including registration opportunities with BFIHA and other beginner hockey programs for girls. Our goal is to help every participant take the next step if they’re interested.

The benefits of females playing female hockey are reflected on both the skill development and the social aspect of the game. It is important for girls to have the opportunity to interact with teammates and be leaders on their teams. The skill level of female hockey has increased dramatically and girls today have the opportunity to compete at a high level and still benefit from the social and leadership side of the game as well.Female Hockey Development, Hockey Canada
