Burnaby Wildcats
Managers
Supporting players and coaches — our Division and Team Managers make it happen.
Make Wildcats Hockey Memorable
The Burnaby Wildcats depend on the commitment of volunteers to provide a positive and well-organized hockey experience for our players. Two key roles — Division Manager and Team Manager — are essential to keeping our teams running smoothly. We are currently seeking volunteers for both positions.

Division Manager
Division Managers oversee an entire age division and act as the bridge between BFIHA, PCAHA, and team managers. They play a leadership role in team formation, provide support to team managers, and ensure league policies and communications are shared clearly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization and collaboration at a broader level.
Key tasks include:
- Support and mentor team managers throughout the season
- Assist with player evaluations, team tiering, and roster setup
- Share updates and deadlines from BFIHA and PCAHA with teams
- Act as the first point of contact for team-level conflicts
- Ensure teams follow league rules and association policies
Team Manager
Team Managers handle the day-to-day operations of a single team. From communication and scheduling to coordinating volunteers, finances, and game-day logistics, they help ensure a smooth and enjoyable season for players, coaches, and families. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on teamwork and keeping things organized.
Key tasks include:
- Helping with team communication (emails, chats, schedules)
- Organizing snack & jersey rotations (for younger age groups)
- Supporting coaches by handling off-ice details
- Coordinating volunteers for timekeeping, social events etc.
- Being the go-to contact for parents with questions

Help Our Teams Thrive
The Burnaby Wildcats wouldn’t be the same without our amazing volunteers. From supporting a single team to helping guide an entire division, every role adds to the fun, community, and success of our players’ hockey experience.
Whether you’re brand new to hockey or a seasoned parent, we’d love to have you join our volunteer team. Your time, energy, and skills truly make a difference.

The benefits of females playing female hockey are reflected on both the skill development and the social aspect of the game. It is important for girls to have the opportunity to interact with teammates and be leaders on their teams. The skill level of female hockey has increased dramatically and girls today have the opportunity to compete at a high level and still benefit from the social and leadership side of the game as well.Female Hockey Development, Hockey Canada
