Hockey Canada Safety Person (HCSP)

If you are interested in stepping up and becoming a Safety Person for your child’s team, please contact your Division Manager or the Head Coach of the team.

The Hockey Canada Safety Program (HCSP) takes a proactive and practical approach to ensure the safety of players. Its goal is to empower safety leaders to manage risks effectively with a focus on player safety, both on and off the ice. To be the safety person for a team, an individual must complete the HCSP training, which must be renewed every three years, even for medical professionals. The safety person ensures that safety is always the top priority within the team environment. Please register for any required clinics.
