Update: Pre-Season Camps- spots still available!
A quick message to let you know that there is still room in many of our BFIHA pre-season camps. Our camps are now open to external PCAHA female hockey participants so please grab your spot before it’s full.
We are thrilled to announce the coaches for our pre-season camps led by BFIHA development providers, including Empower Hockey coaches!
U11 A and C Pathways: Mika Embury – Mika has been a coach for Empower for the past three years. She played with the Pacific Steelers growing up and played on Team BC ball hockey.
U13 and U15/U18 Rust Removal Camps: Neale Quan, Monica Disanjh, and Lauren Lew– Neale is a long time minor hockey coach in Burnaby and former BMHA development coach and previous skating instructor with the UBC hockey school. Monica is joining the Wildcats coaching team this year. She played hockey for the West Coast Avalanche, followed by two years in the JWHL with the Pacific Steelers and is a current U13 female team BC lacrosse coach. Lauren is a 14 year minor hockey veteran and Wildcats alumni who coached our U18A1 team last year and is currently playing for the Surrey Wildcats
U13 and U18 High Performance: Whitney Dove – Whitney played for Pursuit of Excellence growing up (now RINK). She then went on to get a scholarship at Providence College where she was a captain and a member of the all rookie team. She was also invited to the Hockey Canada development camps. After University, Whit played for the Buffalo Beauts of the PHF.
U15/18 and U18 High Performance: Jenna Buglioni – Jenna is returning from Ohio State University and is a first round draft pick for the Seattle PWHL team. She is a national champion, captained OSU this past season and prior to University played for the Greater Vancouver Comets.

U9 Pond Hockey: Internally led by BFIHA volunteers

$30 for 2 sessions

Free of Charge
Goalies born between 2008 and 2017 are invited to these free sessions to get on the ice before evaluations start.

U11 Pathways
U11 pathways are 4 sessions mandated by Hockey Canada that are offered free of charge to provide an opportunity for players graduating from U9 (half ice) to U11 (full ice) to get back on the ice and refine their skating, passing, puck control and shooting skills before evaluations. These sessions are open to all players born in 2015 and 2016 and are grouped by players trying out for U11A or going straight to U11C evaluations.
